Roles in a Session

In the roclub app, there are three essential roles within a session: Local Operator, Remote Operator, and Guest. Each of these roles has specific tasks and permissions to ensure efficient and secure session management.

Local Operator

The Local Operator is responsible for the smooth operation of the on-site examination at the scanner. This role is crucial because the Local Operator controls access to the scanner and ensures that all examination steps are performed correctly.

Key Tasks

  • Starting and Ending the Session: Only the Local Operator can initiate and conclude a session. This ensures controlled access to the scanner and session.
  • Access Control: The Local Operator grants permission for the Remote Operator and guests to participate in the session. Without this authorization, access to the session is not possible.
  • Connection Control: The Local Operator can disconnect the Remote Operator's connection to the scanner at any time to ensure security and control.

Permissions

  • Starting and ending a session.
  • Allowing or removing participants (Remote Operator and guests).
  • Controlling access to the scanner.

Remote Operator

The Remote Operator is the person who can remotely access the scanner to perform examinations or provide assistance. This role allows examinations to be conducted even without the physical presence of a radiologist or technician.

Key Tasks

  • Remote Access: The Remote Operator can connect to the scanner during the session and operate it remotely.
  • Collaboration: The Remote Operator works closely with the Local Operator to ensure that the examination is conducted correctly.

Permissions

  • Joining an ongoing session after authorization by the Local Operator.
  • Remote access to the scanner when authorization has been granted.

Guest

A Guest is a person invited to a session, for example, to observe an examination or provide additional assistance. Guests can also connect to the scanner to control it.

Permissions

  • Joining an ongoing session after invitation and authorization by the Local Operator.
  • Remote access to the scanner when authorization has been granted.
