Session Functionalities

In the roclub app, various controls are available during a session, allowing users to manage the scanner, use communication channels, and adjust system settings. These controls are divided into three main areas: Session Controls, Communication Controls, and System Settings.

Session Controls

The session controls are located in the lower navigation bar.

  • Establish Scanner Connection: Click the corresponding button to establish a connection to the scanner. Upon successful connection, the scanner image will be displayed, and you can control the scanner. If the connection is interrupted, you can restore or disconnect it.
  • Start and End Session: The Local Operator initiates and concludes the session. If necessary, you can close the session for all participants or only disconnect your own connection.

  • Mute/Unmute: Mute or restore audio for all participants. This allows you to avoid disruptive noises during the session or reactivate conversation.

  • Enable/Disable Camera: You can activate or deactivate the camera to turn your video on or off. This feature is useful if you want to control your visual presence during the session.
  • Enable Blur: The background can be blurred to reduce visual distractions and enhance privacy.

Additional Features for Remote Operators and Guests:

  • Establish Scanner Connection: Remote Operators can connect to the scanner after the Local Operator grants the appropriate permission.
  • Full-Screen View: You can open the scanner image in full-screen mode for better visibility during the examination.
  • Refresh Connection: If needed, you can refresh the connection to the scanner.

Communication Controls

The Communication Controls are located in the right lower navigation bar with associated side panel.

  • Team: Manage session participants, change roles, and add or remove new participants. You can also use the bell icon to draw attention to specific participants.
  • Session: Displays the session settings such as date, duration, required skills, and language. Changes cannot be made during an ongoing session.
  • Exams: Enter and manage details about the examination and patient. You can add, edit, share, or delete new examinations.
  • Chat: Send text messages and documents via the integrated chat.
  • Instructions: Additional instructions can be conveyed here. You can edit text instructions or upload documents.
  • Report Issue: If a problem occurs during the session, you can directly create a support ticket. Click "Report issue" to create the ticket or cancel the process.

System Settings

The system settings are located in the dropdown menu at the top of the screen.

  • GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output): Manage general input and output functions.
  • Shortcuts: Use keyboard shortcuts for quick actions within the app.
